The Coastal Empire’s first IMAX Theater is nearing the end of construction. Royal Cinema’s IMAX expansion will boast of a four-story high, 350 seat theater and feature a 40’ x 70’ screen capable of showing 2D and 3D movies. EMC is proud to be able to continue our relationship with Falgun Patel, theater owner, in providing all Civil Engineering related services including survey, geotechnical, site planning, landscape design, and materials testing. This is a large entertainment venue advancement for the Savannah area as currently the closest IMAX theatre is in Augusta!
EMC previously worked with Patel in phase one construction of Royal Cinemas, which consisted of a 31,000-sf, 10-screen, facility developed on a 6-acre parcel of land in the Godley Station area of Pooler. Patel plans to add two additional theaters in the future, increasing the total number of theaters to 13.
