VSU Psychology Building

EMC completed the site design of a new 33,000 SF academic facility consisting of three stories. The Project involved demolition of the existing north wing of Converse Hall to house the Psychology Department on VSU campus. Scope of work included planning and conceptual development and site design. Site design was accomplished in two different phases: preliminary design to 70% completion and final 100% design for permit application submittals. A review was performed by the client and the owner following the completion of the preliminary design, and comments were incorporated into the final design. EMC also provided professional surveying services, construction layout, landscape design, and construction administration.

The site work for this project was not very complex; however, the challenge on this project was matching the existing conditions on campus.
