Dollar General is one of the fastest growing companies in the United States. Teramore Development, LLC is a full-service retail real estate company that provides site analysis and acquisition, property management, real estate development, engineering, construction, and leasing services. They have developed over twenty Dollar General stores in Florida and Georgia. EMC Engineering Services, Inc. has had the opportunity to work with them on many of these developments.
The projects consist of a store with approximately 10,000 square feet of retail space with sidewalks, parking spaces and drive isles, landscaped islands, and dumpster enclosures on properties ranging in size from three-forths of an acre to three acres. The civil/site work on these projects have included both asphalt and pervious pavements for parking lots and roadway turn lanes along with storm drainage systems, stormwater detention facilities, water and sewer utility service connections, landscaping, retaining walls, and fencing.
EMC Engineering Services, Inc. has worked with Terramore in the planning, design and construction phases of these projects. Specific services provided by EMC included:
- Preparation of Topographic, Boundary and ALTA Surveys of the project sites
- Preparation of construction plans that included Clearing and Demolition, Staking and Utilities, Paving, Grading and Drainage, Landscaping, Storm and Sanitary Profiles, Erosion and Sedimentation Controls, and Construction Details
- Permitting of project through municipal or county agencies, USWCS and GDOT
- Assistance during the Bidding of the project
- Provided construction administration and inspection services
- Provided professional stormwater management services
- Provided project closeout documentation
