The project consisted of the extension of a water main to serve the Sterling Industrial Park in Glynn County, Georgia. More specifically, the project is located along Green Swamp Road between the industrial park and Golden Isles Parkway. It included approximately 11,500 LF of 8” PVC C900 watermain and approximately 135 LF of 16” Jack and Bore under a Norfolk Southern rail line. Also included in the project was testing, disinfection, surface restoration and removal and replacement of asphalt where necessary.
EMC Engineering Services, Inc. worked with the Brunswick-Glynn Joint Water & Sewer Commission during the design and construction phases of this project. Specific services provided by EMC included:
- Preparation of Topographic and Boundary Surveys along the project corridor
- Preparation of Wetland Delineations and securing USACOE Jurisdictional Determination
- Engineering Design and Preparation of Construction Plans and Specifications
- Permitting of project through Ga. EPD, USWCS and the USACE
- Assistance during the Bidding of the project
- Provided construction administration and inspection services
- Provided project closeout documentation
